Named after the dog, Han Solo, available for adoption through the Minnesota Animal Humane Society, this crewneck is ade from a vintage unisex XL navy crewneck, this crewneck is upcycled a white backed Overall Sam quilt patch. Due to this sweatshirt having damage and a large logo on the front, I added interfacing to the back of this patch to create more structure while also making it opaque.
Unfortunately the white of the quilt patch has some discoloration from an item that color-transferred onto it. I also added some brown embroidery details to two of the edges of the quilt patch to match Overall Sam's brown overalls and hat. The back of the crewneck has our biodegradable logo tag near the top collar.
This sweatshirt has more extreme damage than most including some paint stains on the arm and wear on the cuffs and collar. Due to the elestic waistband having shrunk, I removed it to give the crewneck a more versatile/looser fit. the crewneck now has a raw-hem bottom.
Due to the extensive wear on the crewneck and the discoloration on the patch, this piece is discounted from it's $80 price.
Due to the reclaimed nature of the materials, stains and minor cosmetic flaws are to be expected. However, I do my best to reference all the flaws in the photos. This sweater has some staining present on both the front and the back and some wear in the shoulders. I did my best to cover the most significant damage using the quilt patch. These flaws can be seen in the photos.

Sustainability Statement
Each piece is made as sustainably as possible with the intention to not add more fabric to the landfill and an attempt to be as close to zero-waste as possible. I source all of the clothing from thrift stores and all of the quilted pieces, quilts, and remnants are second-hand. I also try to source as much of my sewing thread and embroidery thread second-hand as much as possible, while reusing packaging materials as well.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Due to the vintage and delicate nature of the upcycled materials and quilt patches, these pieces are hand-wash and line or rack dry only. I also recommend spot cleaning when possible to extend the life of your garment or accessory
TWO HOWLING LABS GUARANTEE:
If the embroidery thread* comes undone, each piece comes with a lifetime guarantee and I will repair the stitching free of cost. For handmade items, I will repair any rips or tears that occur due to improper stitching or manufacturing.
*Please note: the guarantee only applies to the added work on the garment, not the thrifted item itself. I also cannot repair items that haven't been up-kept with the above care instructions.
